Bag Dust Collector

Challenge

Design, furnish and acceptance measurement for lead fumes abatement system resulting from two rotary furnaces.  Demolishing the existing systems, but refurbish, repair and reuse the two existing bag filters 700 m² filter area each.

Solution

The two dust collectors were repaired, filter bags replaced and relocated on new steel structure, according to Hammam layout drawings one of the filters for serving one of the two rotary furnaces. Two Hammam fans each 135 kW, new Hammam tailored hoods, cyclones, lime feeder, motorized flow control dampers, flame arresters, ducting and electrical control panels, were installed.

Third party carried the measurement and accepted the work being fully fulfilling the regulation levels set by the Egyptian environmental law
