Foundry – Metal –Pollution Control

Challenge

To provide a turnkey pollution abatement solution for the brass foundry with 1 induction furnace, two Kettles, sand handling and 3 casting machines, therefore comply with Egyptian environmental law no. 4-1994 year.

Solution

Hoods were designed by Hammam Experts, for each of the furnaces and casting machines, individually to suite each operation for ensuring compliance with law for the indoor pollution levels, with minimum possible gas flow extraction.

For controlling the permissible level of pollutants in the emission into atmosphere, Hammam provided two DONALDSON (UK) dust collectors each type Dalamatic, having a total filtration area of 280 m², Two Hammam high efficiency cyclones to perform as pre-separator, two extraction fans, low and high pressure circular ducting and electrical control panel. 

Result

The documented measurements for indoor and the emissions shown much better than required and certificate of  successful results is issued to Hammam.
